Lily Pad

Lily Pad is a great romantic hideaway for couples or peaceful hidden retreat for solo travellers.  With lovely views across the pond and its own covered veranda, it is both private and peaceful. A unique rustic hut, a small and cosy space, simple but beautiful.

Lovingly handcrafted with natural wood interior, with a wood burner to keep you toasty warm, a comfortable double bed with duvet and linen provided and fairy lights to add that sparkle.  Lily Pad is our only hut with electricity, there is a 3-pin plug socket inside the hut, small fridge/cool box in the kitchenette and breakfast bar area.  Outside there is a fire pit to cook on with your own Dutch oven, BBQ grill, frying pan, cutlery and plates. Enjoy a good book in the hammock or just sit and admire the views where you can truly switch off and relax. 

Lily Pad has its own private hot shower with biodegradable ‘Faith by Nature’ toiletries and wee-shack.  Flushing toilets are a short walk from the hut which are shared with other campers.  

The campsite is electricity free and does not have much lighting at night, so torches are essential.  Each hut has its own USB points and are lit up at night by fairy lights.

Important Note:

The pictures above are from 2022 season and show an induction stove with pans.  2023 summer season we have reduced our prices and ask you kindly to bring your own gas stove, or ask to hire one from us.  Kettle and frying pan, all BBQ/ campfire things are still provided.

It is a short adventure finding Lily Pad, you park in the campsite car park, then walk through the fields down some steps and across a tiny bridge to reach Lily Pad.

Alpacas and miniature ponies live in the adjoining field behind the hut and our visiting ducks may wander down to visit the pond for a swim, they have been known to visit guests in the outdoor shower!
